RSI In The News

Responding to Growing Demand, RolloverSystems Appoints Christopher Silvaggi as Director of Marketing and Product.

RolloverSystems Inc. (RSI), an independent provider of rollover management services, has named Christopher Silvaggi, a veteran of the retirement savings and income space, as its Director of Marketing and Product.

Silvaggi, who fills a newly-created position made necessary by increasing demand for RSI’s services, brings 15 years of experience in marketing, product development and sales to RSI. Most recently he was director of marketing at Prudential Retirement, where he managed strategy, planning and analysis of participant programs.

“As more advisors and plan sponsors recognize the advantages and risk reduction that comes from managing the rollover process within 401(k) plans, interest has grown in RSI’s capabilities,” said Chief Marketing Officer Jim Langenwalter. “In this new role, Chris will help us respond to that demand and develop our products over time so that we’re continually meeting our clients’ needs and the needs of their plan participants.”

RSI manages the rollover process for 401(k) plan sponsors, supporting participants by providing education on retirement options, access to an independent array of high-quality rollover options, and assistance with rollover, transfer or distribution processes through its Retirement Center. All terminated participants in a plan – regardless of account balance – receive this high-level of support, a service that is especially valuable to participants who otherwise would not have access to professional guidance. Plan sponsors appreciate knowing that participants will have access to unbiased retirement counselors and not forced into a particular fund family.

By managing the rollover process, plan sponsors benefit immediately by cutting plan-related costs, which makes the plan efficient for both the plan sponsor and the participants. They also reduce their ongoing risk to potential lawsuits by terminated participants. At the same time, participants, by working with high-value providers such as RSI, become more retirement-ready by taking control of their own retirement savings and managing them more effectively.

Silvaggi has extensive experience with advisors, plan sponsors and plan participants, making him well-suited for the RSI post. At Prudential Retirement, he managed the development of customer engagement strategies for retirement income products and customer experience life cycle programs for new customer acquisition, portfolio management and asset retention. He also developed, managed and analyzed results of campaigns to increase participant contributions and in-plan asset consolidation resulting in higher plan balances and improved participant retirement outcomes.

Prior to that, Silvaggi worked for Royal Bank of Scotland as Vice President of Online Marketing and was a member of the Smith Barney Private Client Group in New York, working in client experience management and product development.

Silvaggi is a graduate of Muhlenberg College with a degree in Business Administration.
